Big Toys

By Patrick White

28 May 1993 – 19 June 1993 Merlyn Theatre

Playbox Theatre Company,

Theatre Tour

A brittle comedy of sexual politics in which the biggest toy of all is uranium. Behind the domestic triangle of a Queen's Counsel, his promiscuous wife and an idealistic trade union leader, is a sharp attack on what White saw as the frivolous misuse in Australian corridors of power of the responsibilities that come with privilege.

This production subsequently toured to Geelong, Frankston, Warragul, Ballarat and Clayton from 22 June to 3 July.
