Earthly Paradise tells the story of the life of writer Lesbia Harford. A passionate and idealist rebel and one of Melbourne University's first female law graduates, Lesbia Harford was inspired by socialism, to fight for a just and vital society. Denying her wealthy background, she worked in a clothing factory and became a trade union organiser. Through poetry, song and monologue, this piece of music theatre portrays a woman before her time.
