David Campbell OAM (he/him) is one of Australia’s most popular entertainers. An ARIA winning, multi-platinum selling recording artist, he is the popular co-host of Today Extra for the Nine Network as well as their beloved annual Christmas Eve broadcast of Carols by Candlelight. He has starred in theatre and cabaret locally and internationally, recorded 13 albums with huge chart success and performed sold out concert tours from coast to coast. David also presents his own top rating, national weekend radio show on Smooth FM and is also an acclaimed children’s author, with 4 books to his name so far.
David was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia as part of The Queen's Birthday Honours List for service to entertainment and the arts. In 2024, The Fathering Project named David ‘Father of the Year’ alongside his father, Jimmy Barnes.
In 2020, David received the Adelaide Cabaret Festival Icon Award, which acknowledges pioneering and leading figures who have had a significant impact on the Australian Cabaret industry. David is a member of the Board of the Sydney Opera House. He is a founding member of Independent Music Theatre, the group of producers behind the Hayes Theatre Co. David is a proud ambassador for Backpacks 4 SA Kids and for The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation.
