At the height of his international fame, his artworks sold out within minutes. Albert Namatjira's beautiful paintings introduced the lounge rooms of Australian suburbia to the exquisite beauty of our central desert heartland. In 2010, Belvoir and Big hART transformed the rich watercolours of Namatjira's story into a joyous theatrical event bringing audiences to their feet night after night.
"... A TERRIFIC MICTURE OF NARRATION, DANCE, MIME, AND VOICE THAT IS EXTRAORDINARILY THEATRICAL, ARTICULATE AND EXPRESSIVE."
