Matthew Lutton (he/him) is the Artist Director of the Adelaide Festival. Prior to this, he was the Artistic Director & Co-CEO for Malthouse Theatre, and Artistic Director for Perth based theatre company, ThinIce.
Malthouse Theatre: Director for The Birds, Macbeth (an undoing), Hour of the Wolf, This Is Living, Monsters, The Return, Because The Night, Solaris, Cloudstreet, Melancholia, Bliss, Black Rider: The Casting of the Magic Bullets, The Real and Imagined History of the Elephant Man, Away, Edward II, Picnic at Hanging Rock, I Am a Miracle, Night on Bald Mountain, The Bloody Chamber, Dance of Death, Pompeii, L.A., On the Misconception of Oedipus, Die Winterreise, and Tartuffe. Artistic Director & Co-CEO (2015 - 2025) and Associate Artist (2011 - 2014).
